Jim Corbett National Park

Jim Corbett National Park in Nainital district of Uttarakhand is counted among the oldest national parks in India. It was set up to protect the endangered Bengal tiger. This ecotourism destination is home to over 488 species of flora and a diverse variety of fauna. This was the first park that came under the Project Tiger initiative. Apart from tigers, some of the most common animals spotted here are barking deer, sambar deer, hog deer and chital, sloth. The park also has 586 species of resident and migratory birds which make this place a heaven for bird watchers.

Corbett Falls

Plan a perfect day picnic with your family and friends at the beautiful Corbett Falls. Enjoy spectacular views around this 66 feet fall waterfall nestling with lush green dense forest. This is a great place to unwind and to breathe the freshest air.

River Rafting in Kosi

Garjia Temple

This temple, sitting on the top of a huge rock, is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha and Bhairo Baba. Many Hindu devotes take a trek to reach the temple top. During the occasion of Karthik Poornima in November, the temple is adorned beautifully and receives the maximum number of pilgrims.

Jim Corbett doesn't have its own airport. Dehradun Airport is the closest one at a distance of 156 km.

By Rail:

Railheads like Ramnagar, Gaushala and Kotdwar are located close to Jim Corbett. Thus, rail connectivity to reach this wildlife hub is great.

By Road:

Jim Corbett is linked to NH34. Private taxis as well as state-own buses are available to reach here.
